How To Embed An Instagram Image Into Your Blog Story

Before you begin, please note that Instagram photos are only embeddable if your account is set to “public.”

Directly sharing Instagram photos in your blog posts -- rather than pasting a photo directly into a blog post -- is immensely helpful for gaining Instagram followers from your blog readership and engaging your audience on both platforms at once. When readers click on an imbedded Instagram photo, it will take them directly to your Instagram profile, so they can easily follow you, like, and comment on the embedded photo and the rest of your Insta feed.

Embedding is now easier than ever to do, thanks to the streamlined desktop version of the app.

When you visit an Instagram photo on your desktop browser, you’ll see that you have a few options:

  • you can like the picture (via the heart on the bottom-left of the comment section)
  • comment on it (via the comment box)
  • embed it somewhere (via the ellipses - three dots - to the right of the comment box)

Clicking “embed” will generate a unique HTML code for you to easily paste into any of your blog posts. You will also be presented with the option to include the caption or not.

We recommend including 3 - 4 large, high quality images in your sponsored program posts to increase your follower’s engagement and increase the likelihood that they will share your images and program story post in their own social channels.
